December 14: Chugchillan

(1) Four of us from the Inn set out on a several-hour day hike from Laguna Quilotoa, a magnificent deep-blue lake that formed in the crater of an old volcano. Getting there took us about 45 minutes (and cost us five dollars to the truck driver).

(2) Midway through the hike, we encountered some school children. These two were generous enough to allow me to take their photograph.

(3) Veggie dinner for Chanukah at the Black Sheep.
